Bio
Alex has been playing the drums since the age of 10, being taught by his dad and then passed over to tuition by Neil Harris and Alex Kemp who jumpstarted Alex's love from drums Where within his first 2 years he passed his Grade 4 Trinity exams with a Distinction.
Jump to the fresh age of 18 he started making a name for himself in the local “prog” and “metal” scene and has enough material for 2 solo albums. Over the last few years, he has studied and been recognised by a lot of respected drummers such as Ash Soan, Daisy Palmer, Craig Blundell, Pat Garvey, Steve White, Andy Gangadeen and many more. Having studied at the world-renowned Freddie Gee Drum Academy, he has acquired an extensive drumming skill set.
From 2020/2021, Alex has gained more and more followers after playing frequent gigs and sessions more often whilst also building up students for tutoring whether that’s private or teaching at All Instruments, Westbury whilst still studying ‘Music Performance’ at the British and Irish Institute of Modern Music in Bristol.
Outside of his busy lifestyle as a player, he is also an experienced composer and producer working constantly on projects that will be announced over the coming years covering multiple genres.
Alex is a unique player and extremely talented for his age and continues to push the boundaries in his playing and composing, with a relentless workload, practice routine, drive and motivation. With his infectious energy and desire to push his students and peers as far as they can to make them as good as they can be he is becoming one of the more respected players in his age range and area.
Continuing in 2024, he is now teaching drums, guitar and bass at BMT School Of Music in Frome and his own private clients. While currently being the stixman for Bearpit, a Bristol based metalcore band making waves locally and further up field. he is also working on material for his solo project (self titled) that is slowly being released under his own record label (Room Below Records)
Starting off 2025, Alex is prepping new material with Bearpit and getting ready for gigs and touring! while also getting his self-titled metal album entitled "bedroom djenter" is starting to slowly get released.
